About the original Leopard 2A7A1:
The Leopard 2A7A1 is the latest and most advanced version of Germany’s Leopard 2 main battle tank. It was developed by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann for the Bundeswehr.

Its key upgrade is the integration of the Israeli Trophy system, which intercepts incoming anti-tank missiles before impact. The 2A7A1 retains the 120 mm smoothbore gun, strong composite armor, and a 1,500 hp engine.

It represents Germany’s most modern Leopard 2 configuration until the future MGCS program replaces it.
