History:
The Nakajima A6M2-N “Rufe” was a floatplane variant of the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, used by the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. Equipped with a single float, it served in coastal defense, escorting seaplanes, and reconnaissance missions on Pacific islands, including the Aleutians and the Solomon Islands. The aircraft combined the maneuverability and range of the Zero with the ability to take off from and land on water.
