Historical background:
The Panzer III Ausf. N was a late version of the Panzer III, fitted with the short-barrelled 7.5 cm KwK 37 L/24 gun. Rather than serving primarily as a tank destroyer, it was mainly used for close support against infantry, defensive positions and lightly armoured vehicles. In Tunisia, the Panzer III Ausf. N saw service with German units during 1942/43, including the final phase of the North African campaign before the Axis surrender in May 1943.
